Hi, i admit being out of my depth here.

Experiencing BSOD issue with 'Page Fault in Nonpaged Area' and when i run system repair or system restore i get nowhere or a report that looks like this:

Problem Event Name: Startup Repair Offline

Problem Signature 1: 6.1.7600.16385

Problem Signature 2: 6.1.7600.16385

Problem Signature 3: Unknown

Problem Signature 4: 21200770

Problem Signature 5: AutoFailover

Problem Signature 6: 4

Now, i see there are all kinds of files i should download and run.....but since my pc has BSOD, do i collect these and copy to a thumbdrive, and then swap to the affected PC and run from there, or is there a better way? Apologies for asking the obvious.

As an aside, malwarebytes was running on the affected machine and had completed a scan on wednesday...today being saturday.

But i still suspect malware rather than hardware.

Thankyou for bearing with a digital idiot.

kind Regards!

Mr.Moderator thankyou, but my questions remain....

"1. Download the Sysnative BSOD Dump + System File Collection App - save to Documents folder -"  Etc

How do i do this when i can't log on the affected PC?

If it's obvious, i'm sorry it's non obvious to me. :-(

Apologies.

Hi, REDCOAT,

Is the BSOD occurring at startup?

hey bwv848, yes. happens at power -on.

Additional info fwiw - if i run the standard memory test from the recovery console i get a 100% pass, so i figure RAM is likely OK.

further i ran cmd line 'chkdsk' and see no errors, so the HDD must be passing aok.

Which points (as far as i know) to either motherboard component failure or malware.

i ran a malwarebytes scan on weds last, BECAUSE mwbytes suddenly reporting it was being 'turned off'.

i figured i could return to the issue on saturday (yesterday) when next i was in town, but when i did - i was greeted with BSOD.

the machine was non powered during that interim period. I hope i am making some kind of sense here. Thankyou.

Hi, REDCOAT, :)

Please run MemTest86 for a minimum of eight passes as I am suspecting faulty RAM. You can find a guide here if you need help.

bwv848
