I installed a SSD on a Lenovo G770 boot time was awful and I could find no reason. I was away for a week came back and the laptop booted in 13 seconds I was very happy. Windows updated and I am back to a 2 min boot time. Has anyone had the same problem or any idea what could cause this?

So....do I understand correctly that Windows 10 does not have (by default) an AHCI option in some versions?? That is difficult to fathom. If I understood correctly, the video creator had to dig deep into the BIOS to enable AHCI to be enabled in the BIOS.

No idea I just know that I carried out each step checking each one and after 2 I boot from cold in 13-15 seconds.
