PCI Simple Communications Controller - install driver or disable it?

The PCI drivers that appear in Device Manager:

- PCI Simple Communications Controller
- PCI Serial Port

I already know that if I install the drivers, it will install Intel AMT (which I don't use). Will disabling them cause problems on my computer? If yes, what sort of problems can happen?
