Hello,

Is it true that even a well-rooted and sped up Samsung Galaxy S7 is simply not as fast as a brand-new, out-of-the-box iPhone 7 Plus ?

Yes, to some extent it is true. iPhone is mostly known for it's speed and simplified use. Whereas if you are rather more geeky you should always opt for an android. iPhone is for those who don't need anything except the basic functions of a smartphone and live in peace with what the company provides.

"Well-rooted"? "Sped up?"

Sounds like a bunch of salesman talk to me. I am wary of any program or service promising to "speed up" a computer or cellphone.

The iPhone 7 Plus has a faster processor than the S7. It has one gigabyte less RAM though, so one will need to see benchmarks before drawing any conclusions.
