Hello :)  Help?
I'm a newbie here, so please forgive me if I post in the wrong forum.  Just wondering if there is an expert available to look at my MiniToolBox results to see if my laptop has any issue I need to address?  My system has been extraordinarily slow, with constant hang ups and crashing recently, even when I'm only running one program and nothing else.  Not sure what may be causing this to happen.  I dwnld your MiniToolBox.exe today to see if this could lead me in the right direction, but I'm not sure what to look for.  Any help is greatly appreciated.   :)

Also, if you can tell me what this hidden file means?  Or if it belongs?

Please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

Go to Piriform's website, and download the free version on the left.  Click Download from Piriform.com (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn't require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.

After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.

Once inside Speccy, it will look similar to this (with your computer's specifications, of course):

post-33068-0-86653600-1480692866_thumb.j

Now, at the top, click File > Publish Snapshot.

Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard

Now, once you are back in the forum topic you are posting in, click the ADD REPLY or REPLY TO THIS TOPIC button. Right-click in the empty space of the Reply box and click Paste. Then, click Add Reply below the Reply box.

I'm sorry... I'm not sure what else you requested other than this speccy snapshot.  I'm not able to actually copy or post from my clipboard, as I mentioned... my L/R click are currently inoperable on my touchpad?

On another note... I just discovered all of my restore points have disappeared, since I downloaded Service Pack 1 update from the microsoft website, the other day.  How can I retrieve these restore point files, if at all?  Any help will be greatly appreciated :)  Thank you

My apologies for previous comment re data requested...I failed to see the MTB data attached in your initial post.  I've now pasted that into your post.

Although the max temp for your CPU is 105...the temp reflected via Speccy for your CPU is much higher than I would expect.  At the most, I would expect it to be in the 60s...IMO, this suggests that your cooling system is not operating properly and the laptop needs a good cleaning inside to give the cooling/ventilation a chance to operate properly.  When a system overheats, it's not uncommon for the system to functionally slow down as performance degrades.

You are running an outdated/unsupported version of IE...I suggest you update to IE 11.

I've never used the Windows System Restore function...I cannot comment on that, other than to say that I do not think that it can be depended upon.

You might take a look at https://neosmart.net/wiki/no-system-restore-points/ .
