Hello everyone.
I have two Lenovo A3500-FL's, one rooted and one never changed, nor upgraded!
Both are Kitkats 4.4.4, and I've tried both on various WiFi connections, and also my WiFi settings have sleep disabled!

Here is the thing.
For a reason I really can't tell why, both of my tablets drop the signal (although it seems like it's just loading forever and the WiFi icon seems to animate with the inbound and outbound arrows) and I need to toggle the WiFi on and off very regularly so it gets back on the network.

This happens only on MY home network.
I really don't know why and how, and I'd really need your help.

Thank you for your time, please ask away anything you think it might help.

Edit: Yes, I've tried to reboot my router :P

It seems this Lenovo has a problem with Wifi but most searches relate to v4.4.2. I would not recommend changing form AES to TPIK as in the thread. TPIK is not secure.

This is an android specific forum but it seems it mostly concerns Lenovo and problems with using 5GHz vs 2.4GHz.

TPIK won't really work, I tried it.

Am not sure if I want to go through flushing the original rom as yet...

Yes, Android 4.2 it is, my mistake :/

I will try to change the ip to static, but can I do it specifically on my tablet only?

You should be able to use a static IP on Android as long as it's outside the DHCP range of the router.

I've been trying my tabs with static IP since your last post, John, and I 've seen some progress, still I need to toggle on off sometimes but then it might be because I lost my wifi connection entirely and not my tablets that act up.

I guess toggling 5 times a day is better than toggling every 10"!

So, if there isn't any other option left but flashing the rom, I will go by it I guess!

What do you think?

Thank you for your assistance :)

I don't have any other ideas, sorry. You may have better luck on an android specific forum. In any case I would avoid flashing unless it was the only option left as flashing can sometimes go bad and then the tablet is bricked.
