Hey Bleeping Computer,

I have noticed the last several months that files keep disappearing from my desktop.  These include word docs, spreadsheets, jpg's, and publisher files.  And on a regular basis I will get the computer to be unresponsive for several minutes at a time, while no programs are running (just the spiral icon).  My system is Windows 10.  I have run antivirus and anti-malware scans in the past without any viruses of malware found but the problems remains.

Can you please help?

Please start a new topic at the MRL forum section because we need to use FRST logs and scripting, which are not allowed in this forum section here, thanks.

It seems that your pc has a problem or could be infected with malware which is going to take some more work and a deeper look. No sense running a bunch of tools here.
Please follow this Preparation Guide. If have already done a step or you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.
Pease include a link to this thread.

Let me know if all went well.
