This is a very easy process but it does take about a half an hour or so. See if these directions help and if you have any questions just post back.

You do not need a product key as long as your Windows 10 is activated. You skip that step because the product key is stored in Microsoft's server in Redmond.

The product code is digitally recorded by Microsoft when the operating system is initially activated.  Any time you reinstall the operating system the product code will automatically be recognized.

There seems to be some confusion regarding Windows 10 having the ability to do a Refresh.  Technically Windows 10 does not include the option to perform a Refresh.  The option to perform a Reset which includes the options to Keep my files or Remove everything.

1. Open the Start Menu and click/tap of Settings.

When Settings opens select Update & Security

2. Click/tap on Recovery, then Get Started.

3. You will now have the option to Keep my files or Remove everything.  Click/tap on the option you want.

4. You will now receive the message Getting things ready, Windows will list the programs which you will need to reinstall.  You may find it beneficial to copy these programs for a reference later.  When the list of programs is shown click/tap on Next.

If you have recently installed this operating system you will receive the message below.

5. You will now receive the message Ready to reset this PC, select Reset.

The installation will continue without any need to make any other selections.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
