I am running Windows 10 Home on Dell 64-bit laptop.   My system is running McAffee LiveSafe, MalwareBytes (trial) & has Ransomfree.   None of these tools have reported any problems.

I just noticed that several files keep appearing at the top level of my C: drive.

See images.   The folders start with letters a, b, y, z - with variable names (below images have folders:  Aologs105 & Xorganized 186).  The folders contain files with weird names - seems like one file of various types  (txt, sql, msaccess, word, jpg, excel).  and a PEM file.  When I delete the folders, different ones re-appear soon afterward... with different names.

What do I do?

Thank you - misty

OK - sorry for the false alarm.  This is the 'honeypot' for Ransomfree.

I do appreciate this resource!
