Hey All, Is there a way to use Windows 10 back up with out having it to back up automaticlly ? I do not like leaving my external hard drive plugged in all the time. Is it ok to leave the external hard drive always plugged in and Should I stick with Windows 10 back up or choose a new back up program. Thanks for the help in advance. When I say windows 10 back up( file History). I am talking about backing up my personal folders not system image back up.

I only know how to do full image backups onto temporarily connected external media using Macrium Reflect and Image for Windows. I recommend either EaseUS or AOMEI free versions to do only folders and files.  I don't believe either MR or IfW have free versions that will make images of only data folders and files.
