Here we are up north in Michigan. Been using computers since December, 1975, when my newspaper first adopting "VDT" word processing and typesetting. LONG time ago, eh? My first internet connection was Dow Jones News retrieval in 1989, using a Commodore 128. Taught myself BASIC on an Apple IIe, then progressed only reluctantly from Basic to DOS to Windows. I live paperlessly; any paper that hits my desk goes through a Visioneeer Strobe and into a PaperPort folder. Operate one nationwide business entirely from a laptop. Almost all hardware is HP. Use McAfee, Firefox, Thunderbird. Extensive user of MSWord, MSPublisher, Excel, Photoshop Elements (much of which baffles me). Use DeLorme StreetAtlas and Garmin MapSource in aid of fishing, navigation, road trips and even bike rides. Looking forward to asking a lot of questions!

Considering some of your areas of expertise, you may ALSO find yourself answering other Members questions in addition to asking some of your own.
