I would like to understand more about the "Internet Connection Sharing."

There are two boxes

one says Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection.

Under that is a drop down menu. called Home Networking Connection. It says "Select a private network connection. The choices are

- local area connection

- local area connection  2

- local area connection 3

- wireless network connection 2

I would like to know when and why I should choose one of these

Under that is another check box saying, "allow other network users to control and disable this shared internet connection"

This box I am leery of checking because I don't want remote control or screen sharing.

Explanation appreciated.

Google internet connection sharing for a better understanding.  ICS has nothing to do with remote control or screen sharing but is setting the pc to act as a router for others to gain internet access through the pc
