Today when I turned off computer a message appeared just before it went blank saying something like error at some location. As the message disappeares in a flash this is all I could grasp

____tion Error

Unknown software exception (0x40000015) occured in the application at location _ _ _ _ _

Terminate the programme

I captured a video of it. And when I powered it up it showed an error message saying the system has recovered from a serious issue. I captured all error messages and zipped them with the video and all error files located at localsetings/temp.

This happens once a while and I want to know how serious this issue is. Thanks

This machine

Besides, I did most things in the following article to speed up the computer

http://wikihow.com/Dramatically-Speed-up-Windows-XP

Specially this one

Improve Windows XP's
shutdown speed. When
Windows shuts down, it
waits for background
processes to close. Slow
shutdowns are caused by
faulty processes which
fail to close. Eventually,
Windows XP force-closes
these processes. This
tweak reduces the time
that Windows XP takes
before automatically
closing any running
programs when you give
it the command to
shutdown. To perform
the tweak, press WinKey
+ R simultaneously to
open the Run dialog,
type in "regedit", and
click OK to open Registry
Editor. Find HKEY_
CURRENT_USER\Control
Panel\Desktop , click
Desktop, double click
Wait To Kill App Timeout
in the right pane, change
the value to "1000", and
click OK. After that,
double click Hung App
Timeout in the right
pane, change the value
to "1000', and click OK.
Then, find HKEY_LOCAL_
MACHINE\System
\CurrentControlSet
\Control , click Control ,
double click Wait To Kill
Service Timeout in the
right pane, change the
value to "1000", and
click OK.

I usually treat these as nothing to be concerned about.  I've never pinned down a cause for such...but it would not hurt to take a look at your Event Viewer log to see if there are matters that merit attention.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

Go to Piriform's website, and download the free version on the left.  Click Download from Piriform.com (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn't require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.

After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.

Once inside Speccy, it will look similar to this (with your computer's specifications, of course):

post-33068-0-86653600-1480692866_thumb.j

Now, at the top, click File > Publish Snapshot.

Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard

Now, once you are back in the forum topic you are posting in, click the ADD REPLY or REPLY TO THIS TOPIC button. Right-click in the empty space of the Reply box and click Paste. Then, click Add Reply below the Reply box.

Items I would be concerned with:

a.  2 AV programs installed.  Known to cause system problems.  I would fully uninstall each, then reinstall the ONE that I want to use.

b.  Registry Trash Keys Finder is an "optimizer/registry cleaner".  BC does not support the use of such programs/utilities.  See Registry cleaner - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Registry_cleaner AND Registry Cleaner, Animal - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/526247/tune-up-utilities-2014-problem/?p=3303494 .

c.  Outdated Java versions installed, see Why should I remove older versions of Java from my system - http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/remove_olderversions.xml .

d.  System does not like ExplorerXP, I would uninstall.

I believe you are experiencing these "serious errors" because your computer has been BSODing. Looks like you had a STOP 0x100000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL bugcheck from the Event Viewer log. Follow Louis's advice, then do this:

• Press and hold the Windows Key + R on your keyboard at the same time.
• Type in %WinDir%\Minidump and hit Enter on your keyboard.
• If prompted to take permissions of that folder, please do so.
• Copy/paste the entire contents of that folder to your Desktop.
• Zip up (use .ZIP!!!) those files and attach them in your next reply.

If I do not reply in three days, please message me.

Done. Minidump was attached to my original post.

It seems to be that your two anti-viruses are conflicting with each other, just as Louis warned. The first driver is an Avira driver, and the latter is an avast! driver. Remove both anti-viruses, then install the anti-virus you wish to use.

What if I keep them both? Avira is the best for capturing things in real time. It beats Avast in this respect hands down but Avast is less resource hungry. What if I keep them both, will it do any serious damage to the system?

It's your computer, so it's up to you whether if you want to keep them both. I've already pointed out that the two anti-viruses are conflicting with each other, as evident from the memory dump. See this post on why it's a really bad idea to use two anti-viruses simultaneously.
