I am on Windows 7. I was hacked. I had to reinstall everything. I cannot get Windows to recognize my CD. Windows keeps thinking that I am trying to play a CD in MS Media player rather than install MS Word. Help does not work. I de-selected auto-play but that did not change anything.

I have installed copies of MS Word in the past. I legally own it. But it does not work this time.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Insert the CD of Word. If you get the Autoplay popup close it out. Open Computer. Right click the CD and select Explore. Double click the exe installer.

Thanks for your help. Still having problems with a hacker. Switched anti-virus companies. That helped a little but they are back.

If you believe you are infected then I would post a new thread in the AM I Infected forum or the Malware Removal Forum. If you decide to post in the Malware Removal Forum read the pinned posts before attaching your logs.
