Uninstall AVG anti-virus

Hi all,tried everything I could google and can't uninstall avg.Any help would be appreciated.

Did you attempt this through the control panel, programs, etc?

Like I said,I 've tried everything I know of.Through the control panel,Revo uninstaller and the removal tool from the website.I have

done all this online and in safe mode-no luck.

Goodness. You covered all I know. I'm sure someone will take care of it for you. Never seen Revo stumped.

Use the provided AVG Remover tool, if it doesn't work in normal mode try in Safe Mode.

You initially posted that you had tried everything you Googled, but you didn't post exactly what all this encompassed.  This leaves us in the position where we have to guess what you may or may not have tried.  Rather than posting a message telling us that you have tried a suggestion why don't you post what you have tried.

Sorry,don't understand what you mean but here goes.

1)tried to uninstall through control panel-online and safemode,failed.

2)tried revo uninstaller-online and safemode,failed.

3)tried avg uninstall tool-online and safemode,failed.

 

Is this the info.you're looking for?

If this is all that you tried, then yes.

 

Are you able to run a scan with AVG?

 

We are talking about the AVG antivirus... correct?

Yes,anti-virus and avg installs zen also and I have no idea what that is.Once I uninstall it,it still shows up and I can scan with it.

With AVG you sometimes need to uninstall components in a particular order, so before you unistall the AV you need to uninstall PC Tuner and then uninstall Zen and then you should be able to uninstall the main AV program.

You are exactly right but they don't show up anywhere to uninstall.Only one icon for avg is in the control panel but I am still looking around.There are no uninstall files in the avg folder but I'll keep looking.Thanx for your response.

With AVG you sometimes need to uninstall components in a particular order, so before you unistall the AV you need to uninstall PC Tuner and then uninstall Zen and then you should be able to uninstall the main AV program.

Zen is part of the AVG antivirus, you cannot uninstall it alone, you will need to uninstall AVG to remove both of these.
