So my Server 2008 will no longer boot up and I lost the product key. Is there any reliable way I can recover the product key from the hard drive so I can do a reinstall?

I am not familiar with Server 2008 but for a regular Windows computer that does not boot I would pull the hard drive and attach it to another via a USB adapter or enclosure. I also have use a live linux disk to pull the Software Hive and copy to a USB flash drive. I use Produkey with the option to use a offline install of Windows to pull the key.
