Greetings all,

I recently was given an old computer tower (nothing else just whats inside) and I want to know what all I can do with it?

Its a Compaq Presario 5000

I know I can take the hard drive but outside of that anything else I could use it for before I take the hard drive out ?

I am just starting to get into messing with hardware and dont want to just throw something away I could use down the road or now.

Thanks,

CB

It's a 15 year old computer, it's all pretty much obsolete by now.... even the HDD.

These sort of PC's make great letter boxes though.

I have an old PC that I once used to store files on.  Even left the XP program on it and added larger hard drives to give it 1TB storage.  Because it doesn't process any thing and it sits in a remote site it  made a cheap photo storage box.  Of course now you can buy the book external drives.  But it was fun to tinker with.
