Hi.

The error code is 0x800706D9

I have googled it but any supposed solution that comes up does not work. I originally bought this pc with Win 8 pre-loaded and upgraded to Win10. Never had this problem up until a month ago.

It appears that this error is related to the Windows Firewall.  Are you using the Windows firewall or do you have an antivirus which came with a firewall that you are using?

Press the windows keywindowskey_zps092d5c75.png  and the X key to open the Windows Mobility Center menu.

When the menu opens select Control Panel.

In the Control Panel select Security and Maintenance.

Select Security and see if the Firewall is On.

I believe you forgot to answer the other question regarding your antivirus and its firewall.

Does this mean that you are using Windows Defender?

That is why I said "Thanks" in the post above yours. Here in America we say "Thank you" to ex military and law enforcement members as a tribute for their service.
