SSD is set to first priority, but it's still booting on the other drive.

Hi!

I put in an SSD a while ago and successfully booted Windows 10 on the SSD while the computer also contained a 1T harddrive. Now it will not boot on the SSD anymore even though i have set the SSD first in the boot priority as shown in the photos i added. I didn't find any satisfactory answer to this question on Google as it seems not many people have this exact problem.

I have tried to disconnect the HDD, but then i get the following message: Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.

Any ideas?

What O/S is installed on the 1TB drive?

It would seem that the boot files are on that drive...not on the SSD.  Setting a drive that has no boot files...as a BIOS boot option...should result in an error message at boot.

Please post a shot from Disk Management, booting to the 1TB drive.

Louis

I reinstalled Windows 10 on the SSD with the 1TB drive disconnected, and everything works as it should now! Thanks.
