hp laptop.  has random screen freeze, it's always busy with the little blue circle, and minecraft is jerky and doesn't fully render.  am I in the right place?  I've run avg antivirus, windows defender, rkill, adwcleaner, malware bytes none of which found anything.  clearly something is causing this sudden change in performance.  help please.

Hello, nine1bird!

Thank you for the report! I'd like to start working on your BSODs first.

You had two BSODs recently and one blamed an AVG driver and an Intel Display Audio Driver.

Please uninstall AVG and run their cleaning tool. Use Windows Defender for temporary protection. Next, reinstall your graphics drivers. The installation package includes the Display Audio Driver. **DOWNLOAD LINK** In fact, reinstalling your graphics drivers may fix the freezing problem!

ok so i uninstalled avg.  turned on windows defender.  i tried to use the dirver link suppled after more than an hour, and 3 tries of 3 seperate drivers, none of which was compatible with my machine for whatever reason.  i updated my diplay adapter driver.  i updated it again and it said i was already using the most current version.  so i'm not really sure how to update the driver  of the link you supplied.

So in the end your display adapter was updated, even if the link I gave you didn't work? :)

well it definitely seems faster and there seems to be far fewer hang ups and so far no freezing but, it's only been one day.  but so far so good.

whan we are don can you help me with another hp laptop that gets the BSOD when certain video;s are played?  we put a new screen in it and since then, she gets the occasional blue screen.  of course we can start that when this is finished.  just let me know if I need a new thread or not.

I'm glad to hear that — I really do hope that it stays that way. :thumbup2:  Graphics drivers are always fiddly things. :\

Please start another thread for your other computer. Make sure you follow the BSOD posting instructions here, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

I would wait a while before reinstalling AVG. Give it about 5 days... then reinstall AVG. This is just in case. :thumbup2:
