Hi allimoga,

Your log show symptoms of the latest Look2me infection but lets try and get rid of the redirects and update blocking first and then check if its still there. It would perhaps be better if you printed out these instructions before you start working on them. We will need do some of these fixes in Safe Mode where you will not have access to the Internet and therefore this page. There are quite a number of tasks for you to perform, please ensure you carry out all of the steps in the order they are given.

Please read through the complete list and make sure you understand what you are being asked to do. If you have any questions please ask before you start the fixes.

Your system drive appears to be your E:\ drive. In which case having HijackThis on the C:\ drive is probably wrong, particularly if it is a CD or CDRW drive. To be on the safe side could you create a HJT folder on your E:\ drive and put HijackThis in there.

Please download LSP-Fix from the following link and save it to a location you can find later if necessary.LSP-Fix Download Link
I can't find any information on this file: E:\WINNT\system32\wkoipa.exe. Could you locate the file and right click on it and choose properties and see if you can find any information that will help identify the Company or author of the file. If you could also create a zipped copy of the file and put it somewhere safe then I may have you send it to me later for analysis.

Please go to Start >>> Control Panel >>> Add or Remove Programs and remove the following programs. Don't be concerned if you can't find all of them
  • MSIETS
  • Internet 404 - requires Internet connection to work
  • Tools for Internet Explorer - requires Internet connection to work
  • Search Toolbar - requires Internet connection to work
  • Win-Tools Easy Installer - Internet connection - ignore requests to be allowed remain installed[/b]
Open the LSPFix I had you download earlierCheck I know what I'm doing.
Select all listed entries for calsp.dll And only This one
Click the right-pointing arrow.
Click Finished
Reboot your computer into Safe Mode.

Run HijackThis
Click on the Scan button and when complete
Put a check beside all of the items listed below
