Hi all,

I was referred here by my friend, who says you are the best, for the following problem.

When I hit Play on World of Warcraft, a Windows message pops up that says, "World of Warcraft has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." i do not get any other error messages or codes.

A WoW GM checked my system from DxDiag and Msinfo files and told me to disable all anitvirus software, update my video and sound drivers, and to remove a program called iLivid that was flagged by my computer. I have done these things to the best of my knowledge (I found the iLivid program was running on startup and I don't even know what that is but I think it installed itself when I added an external disk reader because the internal drive does not work).

I have not played WoW in 2 years, and my Alienware is probably 9 years old, still running Vista, but I was told by the GM that my specs are okay to play. I was able to download Legion okay after reinstalling Battle.net program, which did not work at first--probably because it was super old.

If anyone knows of a solution, could you please respond? I would be so grateful.
