Hi all.
I have an HP LazerJet 4200 dtn printer. It wont pull up the paper in tray 3, which is the legal paper. In properties, it states that tray 3 & 4 are not instaled.
I need the printer to print from tray 3 - the lagal paper tray.
Please help.

Have you installed all the software that came with the printer? If not, you can probably download it from HP. The generic windows drivers probably don't support the extra tray functions.

Does it show that tray 3 is installed when print the configuration page from the menu on the printer?
As usasma wrote, it may be a driver issue. Make sure you have the latest driver from the HP website. You still might need to go into the driver properties to change the Not Installed to Installed for the printer to print to the optional tray.

That printer is a network printer. Are you working on a network with other users? Can other people print to the optional tray? If you are working in a managed IT environment, you should call your local support staff.
