Hello,

I heard about something called Outernet, which claim that you can get a free Internet buy purchasing their kit.
Is that something practical? if not, can someone explain what is it exactly?

Thanks

The link provided by Wand3r3r is for a space based radio system.  Essentially they send you a file that you can play.  Doesn't seem to be actual Internet access.

Any free service has limits, I sincerely doubt you could use it to stream music or movies.

I have read about it little bit but wanted to ask people here thinking that someone has used it before.

Article from 2015 about it: https://fossbytes.com/outernet/

The Internet is so big, so powerful and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life.

Seems to me that the idea you believe in...got lost in the shuffle, see http://www.outernetpartners.org/about.
