How long can I expect each of these processes to take? I have 12x4TB Drives set up for Raid 5 with one hot spare.  There is currently nothing running on this. We have been having significant performance issues and I'm wondering if this could be due to bad hardware. I have built and re-built the RAID and have yet to successfully complete a patrol read. Any information is very much appreciated.

Sounds like a support question, IMO.  See http://fibrevillage.com/storage/175-lsi-megaraid-patrol-read-and-consistency-check .

I have been working with support regarding our ongoing issues. I was only wondering if anyone had any approximation of how long this normally takes to satisfy my curiosity.

Thank you for your response Louis!
