Hello, I've received instructions from nasdaq in the malware removal forum to post here in order to find a solution to this problem.

Here is the original post and replies:   https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/639313/malware-disguised-as-chromium-and-networking-is-finicky/

I suspect malware has corrupted this system, possibly from using MiPony or maybe a Chromium imposter?  I wiped out some bad guys using the usual troubleshooting procedures and tools (MBAM, etal) and nasdaq had me run some processes, but the networking problem still exists

Problem:

Computer will connect to WiFi via my iPhone's personal hotspot.  It will not connect to my home DSL router, either wired or wireless.  Other computers in my home connect to the router with no problem.

Looking for a solution to get the computer connected without using the iPhone hotspot.

I will post MBT info in next post.

Thanks.
