Mod Edit:  Split from https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/619370/computer-cant-find-webcam-tried-everything-help/ - Hamluis.

So disappointed. This is my exact problem and my exact hardware (both computer and webcam). I have been searching for a solution for months and have tried everything I could find. In desperation I even replaced the webcam board in my ASUS Transformer Book T100TA, but same result -- no problem indicated in Device Manager, but no camera found, either with attempts at still photos or on webcam testing sites.

When I saw this post, I thought that perhaps I had finally found a solution. All the specs matched. And since the start of my issue seemed to coincide with the upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 (32-bit), it made sense that rolling back the drivers with the link posted would solve the problem. To my great dismay, even though the change in drivers seemed successful, the webcam is still not identified on testing sites.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
