PLEASE HELP! TV as Monitor Unplayably Laggy

First off, the following answers are UNHELPFUL:

1. LOL just get a monitor, you're never gonna get the same performance on a TV.

--I don't need monitor quality input lag.  I just need not unbelievably awful input lag.

2. LOL, turn game mode on.

--That was literally the first thing I did.


I was using a Hisense Tv as a monitor until Saturday.  Then it died.  On it, I was getting 33ms.  I bought a Samsung 40" Ku6300 as a replacement.  That should get less input lag than my old Hisense except at 4K @ 4:4:4 (


Today I bought a Vizio D-series 40".  This should have the least lag of any TV on the market (http://ca.rtings.com/tv/tests/inputs/input-lag).  I'm still getting 100 ms of lag.  I've used two different laptops to calculate the lag.  And I've used two different HDMI cords.


Please help, I'm really frustrated.

Beats me but now you know why i still use a CRT, no input lag, by the way you using native res for your tv when gaming ?
