hello,
i can't hear sound on web sites like youtube, myspace etc. i mean generally all sounds that are to be played from the web. i can play my music in windows media player and other programms with no problems, there are no signs that sthg. is wrong (no messages that sthg. is not connected or so). i have checked volum controls and everything seems to be ok.-nothing was muted, and the fact that i hear music from media player indicates that speakers are plugged properly.

i really don't know what to do.
oh...and i have this problem in mozzila and explorer as well.

and i don't hear this windows start sound either.

sorry for answering so late...

it tourned out to be a trivial thing! i had to unplugged my speakers for a while and then i put the plug in the wrong socket.. i mean as you know i could hear the music so i thought that it's not a problem with speakers but i was so desperate that i put it in the other socket responsible for sound and everything was ok! so maybe try sthg like that also ? i know that it is not a good technical explanation but when there is no solution everything is good to try.

Please anyone help! I have the same problem but that has no logic that bloomy said. I uplugged and plugged it back but it doesn't work I tried installing the sound driver again and stuff but it doesn't get any better. There's no sound in Browsers and nor any system sounds but Windows Media Player and games work

whatever13: Every problem can be a little different. Create a new topic with ALL the details, and someone will be able to help you. This will make it easier to help you with your specific problem.

Thanks.
