Recently upgraded older Win 7 laptop to Win 10.

Everything was working fine until today

Restarted the laptop and it shut down and came up with black screen. No cursor nothing. Just black screen. DVD drive opens and closes but that is about it.

I am thinking hard drive failure but not sure

Do you see the BIOS screen when booting up?  Do you have any installation media you can use to see if you can load up the repair tools?
