I was playing around with 3rd party themes and installed some 3-4 themes. It was really good. But some time later i found out that my excel and word files were messed up by the glass setting (backgrounds were all black). So what i did was i went to resources/themes and deleted the folders of the themes i downloaded not being aware that aero is either being in used or is the default window theme (correct me if I'm wrong). Now my login screen is all black. What should i do? I tried inserting windows 8.1 disk and accessing command prompt. I'm trying to use sfc scannow but it says my drive is protected or smthng. ATM doing chkdsk 1hr left. after this I will try sfc /scannow again. Do you think this will fix the problem? Darn. I was so stupid :(

Look in the Recycle bin to see if the deleted themes are there.  If they are you can use the restore option.

If this doesn't work, try doing a System Restore.  Select a restore point dated prior to the deletion of the themes.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
