will this graphics card fit the HP dp8700mini tower computer with intel core duo with 3ghz and8g ram ,thanks for any help

Yes you need low pofile. Be aware that the stock units has a 240W power supply so it's going to need to be low powered. Something along the lines of an AMD HD 6450 Low Profile.
