starting sequence faulty

My laptop, after downloading updates, will not start. It gets to the (please wait for the Local Session Manager) and will go no further. It has been on now for several hours.(Fujitsu Lifebook) Help please. Windows 10

Windows error, not hardware...moving topic to W10 Support.

 

FWIW:  That error appears to be a Windows Server error, not W10.

Have you shut it down yet by holding the power button in until the machine goes off?

 

If you do this 3 times you should then get the option to do a repair.

I didn't know about this option but there it was. I selected the option of removing all my files and resetting. This is a bit of a nuisance but if it gets my laptop working again, it will be well worth it. I can't thank you enough. The resetting is taking a very long time, but I will let you know what happens as soon as it finishes.

The resetting stopped and the message said unable to reset no changes made. Now I am back to the original "Please wait for the Local Session Manager"

It may be your only option now is to do a clean install of Windows 10.

 

If Windows 10 has already been activated on that machine the Microsoft servers will know this automatically when you do the install (so no need to enter key)

Thank you Opera. I used the power button method again, but this time I found the restore option, and this did the trick.
