Hi,

May I ask if the dell inspiron 7566 has a replaceable battery? I couldn't find any info about this in the net. Is the battery of this laptop soldered? How long does it stay healthy?

According to this page: http://www.dell.com/sg/p/inspiron-15-7566-laptop/pd

The battery is 'integrated'. In other words not a user replaceable battery.

Unable to find any quantifiable data on battery life and or health.

Here is the service manual for your reference

Base cover needs to be removed first.

Serviceability of modern laptops is terrible. My older laptop has access panels for everything. This is what "Design for Manufacture" gets you. Saves the OEM a ton of money but sucks big time when you need to service the laptop. The OEM keeps the profit and pushes the costs to the consumer.

While indeed you are absolutely free to decide to change the battery on your own. And you have been provided the information to enable that action. Please be advised doing so will likely void any warranty or extended warranty you may have. Take note of the advisory printed on the access plate as shown below (circled in red). If you are not concerned about warranties proceed as you wish.
