Hi,

I recently purchased an ASUS C623AQR monitor which has a DisplayPort port. I also purchased a Dell XPS 8900 which has DisplayPort as well. I've setup the Input on my monitor to DisplayPort but it's not picking up the signal. Is there some kind of compatibility issue? Is this something I have to change in my BIOS settings under 'Primary Monitor' settings? The options available are
1) Auto
2)Intel HD Graphics
3)NVIDIA HD Graphics

Right now it's set to 'Auto'

Please help!

First: Try the XPS DP to a different device to make sure the signal is getting out. Try a different DP cable? I have to use DP on my laptops and I cannot just use any ol' cable or adaptor... must be of at least decent quality.

Are you connecting the monitor to the active graphics system? (I'm assuming that you'll be using a NVIDIA graphics card & I would expect that the presence of that will disable the on board Intel graphics, & I'm wondering if the DisplayPort you're using is part of the disabled on board Intel graphics)

Usually the BIOS is smart enough to use whichever GPU is available in setups like this.

However:

Choose 3)NVIDIA HD Graphics > Save > Exit.

One can also try an HDMI port and see if anything is different?

If you boot to safe mode (if that exists anymore) can you see anything on the monitor?
