Hello. This my first post on B.C. Please remember, if you reply with advice, I am not PC clever, so please be gentle and don't assume i will understand PC-speak, cuz i won't.....

My problem. When using Internet explorer, i am constantly getting "internet not responding" messages or IE locks up entirely and I have shut IE down, using Task Manager.

Help........!

Don't use IE then use a different browser and see if that helps.

First try resetting Internet Explorer, instructions are here.

If that doesn't work you may have other issues.

(by the way are all your Windows updates installed?)

Try checking for updates in Windows Update. If there are any updates available, go ahead and install them. That might fix it.

Thanks for all your replies. Restarting IE seems to have worked. So thanks again.... BUT don't go yet.....

Next question, What is bapeward? Yesterday I looked into Task Manager found this bapeward was using over 50% on My CPU (Windows processes) at the same time, Avast warned me that it had found some malware and was deleting it. After a restart bapeward went down to 0%.

Anyway thanks again for your help

Hello ADES242,

I am transferring your other topic on the same issue in your previous post to the appropriate forum.  I am closing this topic to avoid potential confusion.
