Norton Power Eraser says 

error code: 0x80041007,n44,n66 I was trying to install Norton Security.

That error has been reported before...see Norton Power Eraser error code: 0x80041007,n44,n66.

If you do a Google search you will note that many users have reported the same over the years.

Folks at the Norton Forums did not give an adequate explanation for the cause so you may want to report it again.

Thanks for the reply. After further research, I uninstalled McAfee the ran the McAfee eraser, then reinstalled Norton. Problem is the last system I did this to, Norton came up with that it would uninstall previous antivirus!!

That's odd. Norton Power Eraser is a free virus removal tool specially designed to detect and eliminate malware threats using aggressive scanning technology....nothing more. In the past Symantec advised Norton Power Eraser was more of a tool of last resort...I have never seen the need to use it.

Anyway, glad to hear you got it sorted out.
