I have just installed Linux mint 17 and I cannot pick up my wifi. It is not showing any wireless networks. What is wrong?

It is probably because Mint 17 does not include the drivers for your wifi. Post back with the make and model of your computer and details of what wifi system is built in.

It doesn't pick up any wireless connection in the area. Could wireless be switched off. I don't know what model Mt adapter is but I have not had any problems with earlier versions of Linux.
