can any one tell me how i might go about copy my music from Itunes to a flash drive use my i mac

You can copy the music files just like another file as long as you know where iTunes stores those files.

By default, iTunes will store those file in the following location:

[your user folder} > Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Music

That is unless you changed the default location at some point. You can always verify where iTunes stores its media file by going into the iTunes Preference (under the iTunes menu item in the Mac version) and selecting the Advanced tab. The first item on that tab will be the media files location/path.

From there, you can then just use the Finder to go to that location and do a normal file drag and drop copy to the flash drive.
