Slow PC on start-up

The title pretty much says it all, my PC takes a while to boot up and is slow for a few minutes after i log in to windows. I have Malwarebytes and Avast premium and none of them have found any viruses/malware. I've also ran CC cleaner and Avast cleaner which also cleans the registry but but it hasn't helped.  It's very annoying because i have to wait a few minutes before i can actually use any programs. Even chrome freezes why i try to start it. after about five minutes or so everything goes back to normal and it runs smoothly again. What could be the problem?

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.
 
Checkmark the following checkboxes:
  List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
  List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
 
Click Go and paste the content into your next post.
 
Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

   Go to Piriform's website, and download the free version on the left.  Click Download from Piriform.com (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn't require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.

    After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.
 
     Once inside Speccy, it will look similar to this (with your computer's specifications, of course):

     Now, at the top, click File > Publish Snapshot.

     Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard

Now, once you are back in the forum topic you are posting in, click the ADD REPLY or REPLY TO THIS TOPIC button. Right-click in the empty space of the Reply box and click Paste. Then, click Add Reply below the Reply box.

heat levels are high, id recommend a cpu stress test on this topic, are you using a stock inlet cooler if not what cooler are you using and what case are you using.

 

Voltages are all off "probably speccy bug" check in bios if the voltages make sense in their, no voltage should be +/- more then 5%

 

Plz do the following and post a pic of what you find, stop test if you see 85c or stop test after 20min whatever comes first.

 

motherboard chip-set heat level isn't nice too, hows the case cooling on your setup and what is ambient temp in your space ?

I'm using a Thermaltake Versa G2, Midi Tower case, and Cooler Master SickleFlow X 120x120x25mm fans. The cpu is using a stock cooler. Also, don't i think those voltages are a true indication.

True if the voltages were the computer wouldn't work lol, their like way off in speccy, still best to check in bios to see whats up on that topic or use a different app to check things out, have you dont that ?

 

So lockup and problems all over the place in the pc and stock Intel cooler, so you going to do a prime95 run ?

 

Just want to see a pic of the max temp after 20 min, that is if the pc doesn't blue screen or restart or something when you try and do a load test, just want to see the heat numbers just for fun, sadly this topic is conic on this forum and new people just don't seem to get it and keep making the same mistake when it comes to cooling.

 

Case looks ok btw, decent amount of fans on it and all, don't know why the chip-set is running as hot as it is.

You have multiple programs installed as AVs...this typically leads to trouble.  Suggest you uninstall all, then reinstall a single program offering AV orotection.

 

Also appears that you may have illegal versions of software installed.  The major threat from cracked software lies in the malware arena.  To check this, I suggest that you initiate a new topic in the Am I Infected forum here at BC.

I think the stock cooler is fine as long as I'm not over clocking the cpu. The bios indicates an average temp of about 45 degrees.

I only have Avast and Malwarebytes installed...is malwarebytes considered an AV as well? I was told i could use them together, is this not the case?

Typically, there is no problem with Malwarebytes coexisting with a typical AV application.  But, reading THIS, and looking at the Speccy data, I don't know.  Speccy shows both Malwarebytes and Avast as detected AVs...which has not been the case in the past.  Prior to this report, Malwarebytes was never tagged as an AV program by Speccy.

 

You also seem to have Bit Defender installed.

 

Torrents are rampant with the cracked version of Malwarebytes you have installed.  You use a torrent program.

 

No critical updates seem to have been installed since April 2016.

 

When the above items are consideredd...I suggest that you at least entertain the possibility of malware seriously.

I had Bitdefender installed until  about two weeks ago, it's been uninstalled. I haven't used BitTorrent in a very long time, and when i did, it would only be from trusted uploaders and generally not software. When i had Bit-defender installed, it would not allow any cracked software on my PC. I am going to install updates now. Since you do seem to think it's malware, I'm inclined to take your word for it. I recently went a week without any AV installed since BitDefender expired, so maybe that is when i got infected, although i generally stay away from malicious websites.

I did not say that it's malware, please read my posts.

 

When someone comes to the Win 7 forum for assistance...I request data.  I then look at that data to see if it can point me in any given direction about the circumstances which made the member post a request for assistance.

 

I report what I see...or fail to see.  I suggest many things, many of those suggestions are often ignored.  User prerogative :).

 

But my comments are just...the way that I view (or don't view) what I construe to be "the evidence."  I don't post such as if I have the ability to be right or wrong, I post my perspective on what has been presented.

FWIW:  If a program is listed on your "Installed Programs" list...then it's still there.  Maybe not completely, but something is there in order for it to be recognized as "installed."
