I just got this refurbished Win 7 Pro PC. Windows updates was set to install automatically but I changed it to manual because I was taught I should know what the PC is doing. However I left it on on automatically notifying me when updates are available. Based on the update window the guy who refurbished this PC set it up in June of 2016. It notified me updates are available and I've been trying to get them installed for several days. When I started this there were 18 critical updates. I have left it on for several hours and it appears to be downloading the updates. But it doesn't seem to be really doing it. When I shut the PC off windows says it's installing 1 of 1 update. When I turn it back on 1 update was downloaded and installed. As I said I started with 18 and now there's 9. But I thought they would be done at once if I left the PC on long enough? Is something wrong here or is it is supposed to work this way? I'm new to Win 7.
