Speccy/hwmontior is getting some high temp readings on the laptop so I re applied thermal compound.. heatsink looked clean fan is blowing out good and still got the same readings. Any ideas why this could be? Laptop has a fresh win 7 install so there's no malware or anything throttling the cpu. Could the cpu be crapping out on me

Sometimes one app can get it wrong, its best to use a feu to see if all the numbers check out.

Try you luck with this and see if you get the same numbers.

Ya 105c at idle in speccy, that cant be right, computer would crash at that temp and or the cpu would fry.
