Hello,

Is anyone familiar with a program that will sync only SPECIFIC folders on my computer to a specified location on my external hard drive? In other words, I want it to duplicate the folder on the external hard drive and update it to match the contents of the folder on the computer when applicable. I have been doing manual transfers for a long time now but it's not as simple as copying over the folder and telling it to merge the folders and skipping the duplicates. Sometimes I decide to delete files or move them to different folders within the folder; therefore, simply copying the folder over does not work. I refuse to use Windows File History because I cannot detail specifics and I cannot track its progress. What are some of the best software out there for creating backups and syncing files between your computer and external hard drives?

Thank you

Try Synctoy and see if it will do what you need.

I'll second SyncToy.  Works like a charm and does precisely what the original poster requested.
