front usb ports cause windows to freeze after factory reset

i just did a factory reset after i screwed up the index in windows 8.1 pro what was happening the cpu was doing the tasks instead of the disk so after i did the factory reset when i put in the wifi adapter as i was setting it up in the front usb port it froze but i noticed after i did a restart it worked it did this with everything i put in the front usb ports it would freeze the system but after i shut it off or restarted it the thing worked this is like my 7th time trying a factory reset this time i trying to see if its not working because i didnt activate windows yet

Fau100,  just a friendly suggestion.....use proper punctuation and periods, and your post would be easier to read & understand...
