Try this, put one stick of the old ram in and go right in to the bios, next manually lock memory settings at the old rams settings, don't let the mobo auto detect anything on the memory topic, or make the memory settings even slower, save and exit.

Try the new ram now with the slower settings one stick at a time.

Ps pc3 - "15000 / 1866" is really 233mgz ram speed

What you say the ram was ? need full serial number plz.

looked up your mobo chipset info and 233mgz ddr3 speed is not supported, if you slow it down and do your settings maual stile it should still work thoguh.

Downloaded the user maual for your computer and its useless.

If the Bios on that computer is like most computers of its stile "dell/gateway/hp etc" chances are you can't do anything in their on the memory topic in any case, so your best bet then is to get supported memory for your computer.

Funny thing is that it worked with the old memory, even that fast isn't supported by the chip-set.

supported memory for your chip-set is DDR3 800/1066 or DDR2 667/800 depending on the motherboard, yours uses ddr3 so 1066mgz max, funny 1333mgz didn't bug it.

Looking here too i don't even know if your bord will like it if you try and use more then 4gigs ram.

Do you even have 4 slots/dimms to put ram in to ? from some of the pics i saw i was only seeing two memory slots on the motherboard.

besides that ya that's the kind of memory you want, slow ddr3 no ecc.

Funny thing is the chip-set info is saying it can take up to 16gigs ram but in other parts of the net i was reading max is 2gig memory sticks, beats me.

Id all most get a 4gig memory stick and stuff it in just to see if it works, if it doesn't flash bios.
