Hello,

I'm rather new to PC hardware and this site in particular (so i don't know if this the right forum) and my computer will not boot up past the HP logo with black screen. I recently installed a new power supply (EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply) and a new graphics card (ASUS GeForce GTX 950 2GB Mini Graphic Card MINI-GTX950-2G) into my computer which is an HP Pavilion Desktop PC. I'm fairly certain that all wires are in place due to the fact that i hear the fans moving inside the computer, but nothing is happening. There is no PRESS ESC FOR DIAGNOSTICS which is what I've been reading usually shows up with this problem. There is no beeping as well which i also read is what happens when this event occurs on computers. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome. If you have any questions about my computer here are the links to the "build."

(I also have 8GBs of Ram that worked perfectly before the Graphics card and power supply)

Sorry for the delay in responding, but I've been very busy the last week or so (this happens to me a lot :( )

Anyhow, the first thing to try is to put the computer back to the state it was in before you replaced the PSU and video card and see if it works that way.

Then, if it does, install the new PSU and test to see if it works.

Then install the new video card and test to see if it works

If none of this works (or you can't do it for some reason), I'd suggest posting over in the Internal Hardware forums:    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/7/internal-hardware/

Good luck!
