Hello,

For a long time, through upgrades and updates i still have this problem constantly annoying me. When I turn on my laptop, 50% of the time my computer will crash within 15 seconds of it being booted into windows the message is 'irql_less_or_equal' and something to do with rtwlans.sys. Please help.

Cheers Aramus   :thumbup2:

Download fresh copies of the latest compatible wired and wireless drivers for your system.

Uninstall the current drivers, then install the freshly downloaded drivers

Monitor for further crashes.

If the system continues to crash, please run this report collecting tool so that we can provide a complete analysis: (from the pinned topic at the top of the forum)   http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/
FYI - I don't often use the Perfmon report, so if it doesn't work please just let me know.
NOTE:  On problem systems it can take up to 20 minutes for the log files to complete.  Please be patient and let it run.

If you still have problems with it running, there's an alternate tool here (direct download link):  https://github.com/blueelvis/BSOD-Inspector/releases/download/1.0.5/BSODInspector-1.0.5.exe

NOTE:
Please zip up the (.ZIP) files - do not use .RAR or other compression utilities.
.ZIP is the type file that can be uploaded to the forums.

Your UEFI/BIOS (version V1.01) dates from 2014.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  If you are able to install the update through Windows (without booting from an external drive), then go ahead and update it.  WARNING - if the computer might shut down during this procedure, please don't do it, as this may physically damage the computer and prevent it from booting.
FYI - W8 and W10 communicate more with the UEFI/BIOS than previous versions of Windows, so it's important to ensure that the UEFI/BIOS is kept up to date (and that outdated UEFI/BIOS' may be the cause of some compatibility issues).

Is there any particular reason that you haven't updated to the Anniversary Update (build 14393)?

Please check for any new Windows Updates.  It only takes one update to cause a problem, so it's essential that you have all of them.  The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

I would start by running Driver Verifier according to these instructions:  http://www.carrona.org/verifier.html

If you can, let it crash at least 3 times - then zip up and upload the memory dumps from it for us to have a look at.

After that, please start these free hardware diagnostics while waiting for a reply:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

This memory dump isn't Driver Verifier enabled.
Are you running Driver Verifier as I suggested?

Please note the drivers below that were released prior to Windows 10 being released.
Update all that you can.  Uninstall those that can't be updated (but NOT

Please update all of them to the latest, W10 compatible version.  If unable to update any, please let us know and we'll discuss which can be safely removed and which can't

Well, that seems to mean that Driver Verifier was doing it's job - but it wasn't able to capture a memory dump.

Please check to see the datestamp on the file MEMORY.dmp in C:\Windows

If it's later than Fri Dec 30 16:25:24.582 2016 (UTC - 5:00), please zip it up and upload it to a free file-hosting service (such as OneDrive) and post a link to it here.

Meanwhile, get a start on updating all of those older drivers from my previous post - they are the most likely to be causing problems.
