Hello,

I have just upgraded from XP to a Windows 8.1 machine.  I wanted to know if there is any way to disable the Microsoft account sign in.  I want to download some free apps and it will not allow this unless I get an account....I don't like that.

I have read around that there are ways to do this however they seem to change on instructions from post to post so I thought I would ask the experts.

If anyone out there can help or send me in the right direction, I would appreciate it very much!

Thank you and Happy Holidays to all!

Not sure if I am missing something very obvious or has this stumped the world of Bleeping computer......

No one has anything to offer?  Maybe I am explaining this inaccurately which is highly probable.

Again, any help is greatly appreciated!
