I decided not to take the Windows Update for Uniscribe.  The description was confusing and I do not know if Uni Scribe is part of what I have or use or would need, so I did not download this update file.

windows6.0-kb3196348-x86

Do I need  to run this standalone installer to install this update?

Have a look at this MS KB article. From a quick read, unless you use Arabic or Asian fonts, you don't need it,

Very good.  Thanks Chris C.

I made a quick read several days ago, but I was not sure.  Either way, I did not install it.
