Hi,

I am wanting to see if their a way to test flash drives to make sure they aren't bad either due to them being fake OR defective.

I used flash drive tester from vconsole.com and when testing some new 256GB drives, we are getting the error "Semaphore TimeOut period Has Expired" during the testing using that software.

What i dont know is what that error actually means. This seems to happen so far with 2 out of the 5 drives I have (same model).

The drives are USB 3.0, connected to a machine that has 2.0 USB connectors.

I ran the same test on a 2.0 USB 64GB drive from the same manufacturer that I have and that has no errors so not sure if the error due to being defective or being 3.0 on a 2.0 connector.
